The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Marketing Activation Technology leader, that will work at the intersection of business strategy, human-centered design, and emerging technology product delivery. This role will define and oversee the strategy and deployment of our Marketing Resource Management (MRM) platform for the EMEA region, ensuring the activation and adoption of our Global MRM capability across the EMEA markets, brands, and cross-functional processes. They will build, drive, communicate and gain alignment to the technology strategy, standards and process, and ensure these are delivered consistently across our brand and digital initiatives. 


 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong partnerships with our Consumer Experience Organization and Digital Experience business leads in EMEA to drive adoption, activation, and value of our Global MRM capability to enable efficiency and speed to market in end-to-end marketing & cross-functional business processes 
  • Lead a high-performing team that will activate MRM in EMEA, including partnering with business partners to craft the future state process design and drive backlog prioritization, grooming, training, and organizational change for onboarding of brands and markets across the region
  • Act as subject matter authority for MRM in EMEA, providing operational support to triage and ensure resolution of requests and issues related to workflows, platform features, improvements & configurations 
  • Partner with vendors and Global Product Owners to ensure visibility into product roadmap capabilities, provide Voice of Customer feedback, and prioritize and activate new capabilities and improvements for EMEA
  • Engage across marketing teams to identify and align opportunities to optimize our architecture, engagement model, and extension of global capabilities across the EMEA business 
  • Partner with regional business owners to provide Technology engagement and leadership, craft the architecture, define use cases, ensure compliance, and drive process efficiencies with data & metrics across digital channels 
  • Partner with global and regional Product Owners on commonalities, takeaways & opportunities to align across regions. 
  • Drive and lead alignment and linkages to digital strategies across functions, such as CxO, Marketing, Sales, eCommerce, Supply Chain, R&D & Regulatory. 


 

Other Duties: 

  • Understand and align funding needs to support the delivery and ongoing operations of multi-year product roadmaps including critical marketing centric initiatives that will create limitless value for the function and the enterprise. 
  • Support the execution of individual initiatives through the development and application of standard for scope, schedule, budget, resource, and risk/issue management.
  • Socialize external trends and insights related to Marketing Activation processes & technology, including digital trends with JJT/CxO/Marketing to provide foresight vital to inform strategies. 
  • Establish and cultivate strong connections with digital leaders, startups, diverse technology providers, and industry specialists. 


 

Professional Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in computer information systems, information technology, or computer science 
  • 8+ years’ experience within FMCG company 
  • Minimum 5 years running Marketing Technology and/or Marketing Activation applications, leading technical and / or Enterprise Complex programs and associated teams. 
  • Deep understanding across Marketing taxonomy (from products to campaigns to creative) 
  • MarTech ecosystem capabilities focused on Marketing Activation, including DAM, PIM, and/or MRM platforms 
  • Strategic problem solver with excellent eye for business and ability to translate and synthesize complex information into clear insights and recommendations to senior leaders 
  • Strong team building and relationship management skills 
  • Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills 
  • Outstanding working understanding of organizational change principles 
  • Consistent track record of success in creating, driving, and delivering dynamic digital capabilities at the functional or enterprise level 
  • Outstanding partner management experience at the most senior levels, superior influencing, and collaboration skills 
  • Inspiring leader experienced in shaping solutions, agile methodologies, building strong relationships, and excellent communication skills 
  • Passionate about creating a positive, diverse, and inspiring work environment, especially during times of change



 

Other Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication 
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills 
  • Depth of experience with Aprimo, Workfront, BrandMaker or similar Marketing workflow tools are strongly preferred 
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly 
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to shape and own the strategy and execution of new solutions 
  • Big picture thinking with attention to detail: looking for areas of improvement to create growth and joint value for our customer. 
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest IT developments and Agile methodologies 
  • Ability to explain highly technical concepts in simple terms 
  • Knowledge of the best computer security practices 
  • Good research and analysis skills 



 

In Return:

In return for this role you will receive a very competitive hourly rate. A minimum 12 month contract & an opportunity to work with a Global Leader within the Pharmaceutical sector, Johnson & Johnson.
