An opportunity has arisen for a Social & Digital Communications Consultant to join the UK Corporate Communications team at Janssen, the pharmaceutical companies of Johnson & Johnson, on a 4 day a week contract.

Within this position you will be responsible for the development of social and digital media and content strategies across Janssen’s Corporate and Therapy Areas as well as the direct management and monitoring of the UK corporate website [https://www.janssen.com/uk/] and Twitter channel [@JanssenUK].
roles and responsibilities
Develop and execute a social and digital communication strategy to drive the Janssen UK reputation. This will involve:
Take ownership of corporate social media and digital content to support the Janssen UK Corporate and Therapy Area communications objectives
Develop and implement a proactive content strategy across key corporate tactics and thought leadership to create a regular drumbeat of content, working with the wider UK Comms
Curate engaging content, collaborating with production partners as necessary
Launch and integrate a new UK LinkedIn channel to drive further engagement with key Janssen audiences
Work across departments to develop integrated campaigns’ as appropriate
Develop a paid media strategy to amplify the social and digital communications plan
Provide social and digital expertise to Janssen UK organisation
Take leadership of social and digital compliance projects and demonstrate the highest standards of quality and safety, ensuring guidelines are up to date
Be the ‘go to’ social and digital subject matter expert for the organisation
Participate in cross-functional networks to maximise synergies. Be the social and digital focal point on behalf of Janssen UK
Manage the Janssen UK website and social media channels
Across Janssen UK owned and leadership profiles, including the Managing Director
Execute influencer outreach, including identification and content co-creation
Apply superior writing and editing skills and an understanding of HTML and common web application platform. Update the corporate website with content received from across the business
Improve performance of channels through optimisation and measurement
Monitor, measure and track corporate website performance and social activities
Analyse the customer experience and develop new strategies accordingly
Utilise a range of inputs from site analytics, social listening, SEO analytics, usability findings and design standards, to report back to the business, tailor content and distribution strategies
Establish digital benchmarks of success for each programme and execute to meet or exceed those benchmarks
Report on campaign performance, including accurate and actionable insights and optimisation recommendations.
how to succeed
Previous experience working as a Social Media/Digital/Web consultant for a pharmaceutical/healthcare organisation
Ability to create engaging content and to follow regulated guidelines
Experience of interacting with and reporting to Senior Management
Ability to work with external marketing agencies
Confident and able to work autonomously

This role offers a very competitive hourly rate. This contract will run until the end of December 2023 and has a strong chance of extension.
