Supply Chain Project Coordinator

Location: Ireland (site in Cork) or Belgium (Beerse or Geel)

Working mode: Hybrid or Remote (occasional on-site touch points)

Duration: 12 months (opportunity for a contract extension)

Hours: 40 hours per week

Pay rate range: Competitive hourly rate

Manufacturing and Technical Operations (MTO) within the Janssen Supply Chain (JSC) is looking for MTO Extended Workforce Contractor Support, located preferably in an MTO Site in Europe. 

What is MTO Extended Workforce?

The MTO Extended Workforce (EWF) are all the flexible resources; J&J Temporary and Internships, and all External Resources engaging through Resource Suppliers.

Our EWF is a fundamental part of our Total Workforce to manage workload variability that is driven by volume and project fluctuations, as well as to leverage external capabilities for key, but non-core activities, within Operations, Make Asset Management (MAM), Technical Operations (TO) and Quality at the JSC sites.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver an EWF strategy that includes deployment of an EWF framework to drive sustainability and supported by execution of EWF design initiatives, like:

  • Perform Core versus non-Core evaluations per function that will drive the right task assignment to External versus J&J resources who own critical capabilities. Nurture supplier partnerships that consider our non-Core as their Core business.

  • Drive implementation of the best fit external labour models for each functional Supplier partnership

  • Reduce the contract and supplier base as well as improve the supplier relationship management

  • Drive the foundations for effective supplier performance management.

  • The role closely collaborates with Functional leads at the JSC sites, as well as with Finance and HR. Furthermore, the role acts as a SPOC for MTO to procurement, strengthening the collaboration and partnership.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Pharma Supply Chain: Required 5+ JSC experience in key operations and/or technical managerial roles.

  • Business and Pharma/Technical Competence.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing Extended Workforce.

  • Understanding of end-to-end supply chain and confirmed experience of driving improvements.

  • Proven customer centric mentality and the ability to provide clear communication with customers and partners on recommendations based on business value estimations.

  • Strategic thinking, shaping of business solutions and change management.

  • Proven data analysis skills (Excel, pivot, …)

  • Basic financial knowledge
