Position Description:

As the Power BI Expert you will join a team of 8 and will also work with our team in Ireland and US. Occasional site visits at Beerse are required, but mainly you will work from home.


Your responsibilities and your Impact:


  • Act as a subject matter expert in the Power Platform, and work with our function to understand our business requirements and translate them into solutions.


  • Work closely with business areas to capture BI requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design data visualisations


  • Implement enhancements in current Power BI tools & provide ongoing support this includes support for datasets and reports


  • Translate user requirements into dashboards.


  • Analyse and quickly understand data and its linkages in a complex domain.


  • Create effective interactive visualisations, dashboards, and reports in PowerBI and other technology environments.


  • Validate and perform testing. Provide documentation for the deliverables.


  • Ensure solutions are designed, developed, and deployed in accordance with industry best practices and standards.


  • Provide guidance, training, and mentoring to team members and help to develop their skills in the Power Platform



Education and Experience Required for Role

Essential:


  • 3-4 years of experience working with the Power Platform, specifically Power BI, Power Apps, and Microsoft services.


  • Strong experience in data modelling, data visualisation, database design, and data management


  • We are looking for a Power BI Developer to help us build data visualisation solutions to develop interactive and dynamic dashboards.


  • Up-to-date with new Power BI features and recommend improvements to existing solutions


  • The ability to maintain a structured workload amidst changing deadlines and multiple priorities


  • Experience working with large datasets and data modelling


  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective data visualisations


  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail


  • Strong experience in collaborating and working in a team environment


  • Experience in collaborating with IT to make the connections to the source databases


  • Fluent in English, written and spoken
