The Role:

We are looking for a motivated and driven individual to join our growing Digital Commerce team as a regional Business Product Owner. The position serves as the product owner for EMEA Regional Digital Products (i.e., Salsify) to drive KPIs and business objectives by overseeing key backlog enhancements and market rollouts. 


 

You will lead the definition of business requirements and execute a strategic approach to product experience. You will be responsible for executing platform enhancements from inception through launch and ensure deadline and goals have been successfully met. This position requires a strong background in digital Commerce best practices. This position will work closely with and lead a cross-functional team to ensure flawless execution of platform priorities.



 

Key accountabilities

  • Operate as regional lead and Business Owner for Digital Commerce Products (currently: Salsify) by initiating strategic enhancements and market rollouts that will improve process and efficiency. Collaborate across the organization to continuously evolve site experience by launching new features and functionality driven by customer needs and expectations.
  • Lead product demos and educate in-market teams on concepts and best practices; promoting and influencing product benefits.
  • Facilitate business engagement with cluster teams.
  • Lead the prioritization of product backlogs and communicate prioritization to stakeholders.
  • Work with business stakeholders & JJT on effort assessment; Work with JJT to translate demand and priorities to technology roadmap.
  • Work with region/cluster/global Digital and IT teams to prioritise program implementation across markets. 
  • Maintain established standards on processes and solution design; Drive standardization and synergies across markets in processes and solution design.
  • Oversee user story requirements and partner with BA’s to build, review and approve user stories
  • Maintain detailed project plans, identifying key milestones, timelines, budgets, dependencies, and project resource needs for user stories, development, testing and go-live. Prioritize competing requirements when needed.
  • Ensure appropriate teams are in place for prioritized requirements (business, IT, etc). Escalate any gaps to leadership. 
  • Act as Business Product Owner in Compliance processes: Envision, write & communicate acceptance criteria; Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) 
  • Govern the regional support process; Be a poweruser
  • Drive adoption and benefit realization; Coordinate across functions and business stakeholders to ensure product is successful & meeting targets & requirements
  • Ensure features are supported with go-to-market (GTM) strategies and coordinate GTM timing with local lead. 
  • Establish platform KPIs and measurement framework in coordination with CBI, IT, and cluster teams.
  • Evaluate and measure platform and program success and report findings to Governance & Leadership teams. Provide regular status reports to stakeholders.
  • Lead platform optimizations including identifying areas for improvement and testing, building appropriate tests plans or fixes into product roadmap, reporting on results and scaling or pivoting as necessary. 
  •  Support the prioritization of Digital Commerce Product roadmap programs in coordination with the Digital Commerce leadership.
  • Support region in strategy development and planning, ensuring programs are appropriate for local market environment; Execute in coordination with local markets.
  • Work closely with squads, digital and commercial teams to identify Digital Commerce opportunities; Be a regional Digital Commerce change agent 
  • Additional projects, requests and responsibilities as indicated by EMEA leadership



 

Education and experience requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Experience in digital product management, product ownership, leading product development, and program launches
  • Knowledge of digital commerce technology 
  • Comprehensive understanding of the digital ecosystem and end-to-end consumer experience 
  • Ability to drive strategy and change while implementing, analysing and reporting on numerous concurrent projects. Ability to navigate well in ambiguity.
  • Strong analytical skills. Ability to read, manipulate and understand data in order to make effective commercial decisions
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously and optimally prioritise projects and tasks
  • Ability to manage multiple project timelines, budgets, and project resources with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment required.
  • Excellent collaboration and organizational skills required.  
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required including ability to develop and present to leadership (i.e., PowerPoint, in-person, email).   
  • Pro-active problem-solving abilities required.
  • Positive, committed attitude required.
  • Have an openness to continually drive productive change with an ability to see the big picture and think ahead to define new approaches and tackle future challenges.
  • A strong leader capable of developing, coaching, managing, and motivating a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

In return for this role you will receive a very competitive hourly rate. A minimum 12 month contract & an opportunity to work with a Global Leader within the Pharmaceutical sector, Johnson & Johnson.
