Project Description:
By May 26th 2024, all medical device companies must demonstrate and maintain compliance in accordance with the new EU Medical Device Regulations (EU MDR)
The Role:
Consolidation and Preparation of Reporting, Forecasting, Analysis, and other areas within the team`s responsibility and provides accurate, timely, meaningful and complex financial analysis to influence business decisions.
J&J EU MDR Program is a multi-year billion $ project, which ensures the regulatory compliance to manufacturers of Medical Devices. The EU MDR will govern how manufacturers of medical devices produce and sell products in the EU. It also has implications for non-EU countries that leverage the CE (European Conformity) mark. It's a corporate program that spans across all MedTech Franchises of J&J (Ethicon, Cerenovus, Depuy Synthes, J&J Vision). The revision process of the previous Medical Devices Directives began in 2012 with the objective to achieve a smart and efficient legislative framework that is consistently implemented and enforced across the EU, ensuring high quality products, patient safety, public access to information, and rapid access to the latest medical technologies.
Job Description:
Work closely with functional business partners to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the solution deployed in support of the business goals and objectives.
Provides planning support and financial expertise for business decisions and performs ad-hoc complex analyses to support business partners on special projects as assigned.
Responsible for all Month/Quarter End close related activities for MDR (Journal Entries,
Account Reconciliations, Budget vs Actual Analysis, Corporate Reporting, Headcount reporting & analysis, forecast preparations etc.) and ensures monthly closings are completed in a timely and accurate manner meeting the corporate deadline.
Responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all local government and company regulations, policies and procedures for health, safety, and environmental etc.
Prepares ad-hoc analysis and presentations for the business partners as well as for the internal and the extended finance team members.
Master a changing and complex business environment; challenge, improve, streamline, and optimize current processes with hands on mentality and attention to detail.
Participates in integrating new systems that goes live in JNJ into the existing financial processes.
how to succeed
Education / Experience
A minimum bachelor’s in accounting, Economics, finance; and/or related level of certification is preferred.
A minimum 4 years of finance experience
Strong communication skills, customer focus and proactive attitude, and ability to partner effectively with business.
Proficiency in working with SAP FI/CO, BW, AFO/BI, S4H is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience working with reporting and planning tools is beneficial.
Proficiency with Microsoft office (Excel, word, Power Point) and ideally MS Power applications (Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, and Power apps)
Skills & Competences
Ability to take initiative and work independently in an international and hybrid (virtual/on-site) environment; ability to deliver under tight deadlines.
Open to new ideas and with strong interest for digital technologies
Strong commitment to business ethics and J&J Credo values
Business fluency in English (Oral and Written), German is a plus but not mandatory.
A good team player who will be able to work along with an extended finance team with multiple functional areas.
