We are looking for an eLIMS Master Data Project Lead to drive and coordinate master data and configuration initiatives that underpin our Quality Control (QC) automation landscape. This role operates at the intersection of laboratory operations, data governance, and system configuration, with accountability for delivering high-quality, compliant eLIMS master data solutions across release testing and stability studies.

As Project Lead, you will own master data–related projects end-to-end and lead one or more eLIMS Master Data Specialists, ensuring priorities, quality, and timelines are met while acting as a key interface to stakeholders.

You will lead and coordinate eLIMS master data projects from initiation through implementation and handover.

This will involve:

  • Project & Delivery Leadership

  • Lead and coordinate eLIMS master data projects from initiation through implementation and handover.

  • Translate business, laboratory, and technical requirements into structured project plans, master data strategies, and configuration deliverables.

  • Prioritize and sequence work across multiple initiatives, balancing operational demand, compliance, and system constraints.

  • Functional & Technical Ownership

  • Oversee the creation, maintenance, and validation of QC master data (tests, methods, sample types, lots, reagents, stability protocols, etc.).

  • Ensure eLIMS configurations for release testing and stability studies are robust, compliant, and aligned with global standards.

  • Act as functional owner for master data topics within QC automation initiatives.

  • People & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and support eLIMS Master Data Specialists in their day-to-day project work.

  • Serve as primary liaison between laboratory operations, product managers, QA, IT, and system vendors.

  • Facilitate workshops, align expectations, and proactively manage dependencies and risks.

  • Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Safeguard master data integrity, consistency, and traceability across the eLIMS landscape.

  • Contribute to and help shape master data governance, standards, and best practices.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on data quality, efficiency, and system usability.

  • Operational Support

  • Provide escalation support for complex or high-impact eLIMS and master data issues.

  • Support authoring and review of protocols, SOPs, reports, and project documentation related to master data and system configuration.



how to succeed.

You should have a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and a minimum 5 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical or similarly regulated environment.

You will also bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical or similarly regulated environment, with strong exposure to GMP and QC laboratory processes.

  • Proven hands-on experience with eLIMS systems, including master data setup and configuration.

  • Demonstrated experience leading projects or workstreams, ideally involving automation or laboratory systems.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; able to translate between technical and laboratory audiences.

  • Structured, proactive working style with strong planning, documentation, and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English; Dutch is a plus.

  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or formal project management methodologies is an advantage.

  • Nice to have

  • Experience defining or implementing master data governance frameworks.

  • Direct involvement in stability program setup or release testing automation at scale.

  • Prior people-lead or mentoring experience in a matrix or project-driven environment.
