Senior Financial Analyst - Ireland

This role is a Hybrid role however the candidate is able to be based out of the following offices in Ireland: Westport, Dublin

The Role:

Support the Finance manager to provide financial analysis, advice and proactive support to the Vision Regional Office Group for both Vision Care & Surgical Vision. Support regional and global projects within Finance and the Business organization


 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key business partner for both Vision Care & Surgical Vision Regional Office commercial business partners, helping to shape the strategies, providing financial advice and support value-creating decision making.
  • Financial management and support for regional and local management teams with quarterly review and analysis of actual results and support in preparation of business plans and forecast update for expenses in close collaboration with the FP&A & GF COEs
  • Regional office P&L accountability, including SOX review and approval of Q-end results with Global Services, collaboration with GS organization before and during the closing week to ensure completeness and accuracy of Q-end result.
  • Support with business plan development & forecast updates for Regional Office within EMEA in close collaboration with the FP&A & GF COE and Global.
  • Assist, influence, enable and ensure that financial targets for the Regional Office are met
  • Support Finance Manager with strategic projects


 

Experience Required:

  • University Degree and recognized Professional Accountancy qualification
  • Proven record of post-qualification experience
  • Knowledge of US GAAP accounting and Sarbanes Oxley requirements
  • Ability to bring clarity to complex business issues and proven success in managing complex projects and processes
  • Excellent communication and business partnering skills including:
  • must be able to work with and influence internal customers
  • comfortable in challenging internal customers in a non-confrontational way
  • proven ability to work with people at all management levels including VP
  • able to communicate fluently across the organisation
  • simplify complex written communications
  • adapt style and content for all levels of the organization in English
  • Ability to analyze financial data ensuring that it makes business sense
  • Strong team player and ethical (Credo minded)
  • Self-starter
  • Highly computer literate, experience with ERP systems and Microsoft packages .
  • Influencing skills - across cultural differences and ensuring all management understand the financial priorities and constraints, ability to align business partners on tough financial calls
  • Strong continuous improvement mind-set


 

In Return:

In return for this role, you will receive a very competitive hourly rate. A minimum 8 month contract with a high chance of extension & an opportunity to work with a Global Leader within the Pharmaceutical sector, Johnson & Johnson.
